From his Obituary in the Guardian

One individual who never left his side was Jenny, who was his driver (he refused to drive a car), gofer (holding his umbrella at the races), caterer, housekeeper, dog walker and defender. She never accompanied him on his holidays to Las Vegas, Bangkok and Japan, however, preferring to spend his absence working their dogs and “picking up” at friends’ shoots.

Cheers for that. Edwina Currie thought she was the next Maggie Thatcher. Was always a big mouth Tory and couldn't wait to drop a former PM in the shit with his wife.

Just in case you are in any doubt Eddie 'up and under 'Waring is also long dead.

terry.... he played on it... read the quotes regarding him and his missus... like people said he was a bit of a caricature... he was called sexist but he was a massive backer of women jockey's and how they should be treated on their own merits.... I'll miss him... great character who was as knowledgeable as they come (in the racing world)

a few times B son. Couple of the evening meetings I've popped in on the bike on the way home from work. Centre of the course is free so any of the sprints are fine and if it's a nice evening I'll sit by the big screen and watch / bet on anything they show.

There's an Elmbridge residents meeting in a few weeks - free for locals if you book in advance - taking the kids to that one...……..

Probably not going tomorrow - golfing with Sarge jr

was a far better journalist / interviewer than many gave him credit for - especially when getting stuck into some of the 'establishment types on Ch4.

Suffered on course from abuse from the drunken types that make some Saturday meetings a no go for me - and carried the dreadful Tarns for too long as baggage - but I liked his work.

Ended up as a bit of a caricature of himself at times but give me his presence on the screen over Chapman any day of the week.

I seem to remember the couple did a Wife Swap with Edwina Currie and her partner and Currie had a few things to say about his treatment of the 'Booby'.

I hope that poor wife of his has inherited a fair amount. She hung around despite being treated like a dog.
